Does the thought of designing or revamping your website weigh you down as it goes to the bottom of your to-do list each month?
'Build a Website that Works' can get it done!

March 7, 2008
Dear Friend,
If you're like most of the gifted artists and writers I work with every day, you probably have a website you're not happy with...it's old, or it's just not generating any interest...as in you feel lucky if your family and friends come to visit. Or maybe you've never gotten around to getting a website up at all...you have lots of company.
If this sounds even remotely familiar, I'd like to help.
I understand you want to spend most of your time doing your work, but if you want to make money doing it, you need a website that's going to go to work for you
Building a Website is Easier than You Think
A good website does not mean an expensive website. It does not mean a time consuming website. Nor does it have to be a complicated website.
Creating a good, and even great, website is easier than you think, but you do need to be willing to learn some basic...just a few...marketing concepts and an itsy bittsy bit of technology....I promise it's really not a lot. And you can skip the technology part if you have the funds to outsource the task, but you still need to learn the marketing piece.
Without the marketing know how, you can end up with a beautiful website that does nothing to attract visitors or make sales.
The problem is that most designers are not marketers. Even if you hire out the work you need to be directing what's going on.
I know it's painful, but I have to say the hardest part of your website project is getting past the resistance to doing it. In most cases, it just takes a bit of reframing to get over that hump.
The reframe is this...if you know how to make friends, you know how to market. That's really what marketing is all about...building relationships with potential customers and clients.
Your website is their introduction to you and your work.
But you won't make the connections without a great intro...your website, and I am going to teach you all of the basics of putting together a website you can be proud of. And you're going to do it without emptying your wallet or spending the next year trying to get it done.
So are you ready to get an effective website up?
You are if...
You don't have a website or it needs major renovation...and you're weary of seeing the website still on your project list month after month...or year after year.
Your business isn't moving forward because your website still isn't finished.
Your website is up but it just isn't working. You don't get visitors to your site, and the few visitors who come, don't sign up, don't buy...don't do anything other than leave.
Your website is costing more than it's bringing in. It doesn't take a lot of money to maintain your website, but it's still an expense if you're not making any sales.
You're afraid of sounding like all the other hype out there. I'm certainly with you there. I am a big fan of authenticity and integrity, and that's what I teach.
You hate marketing and just want to hand it over to someone else. I understand. I really do, but you need to know who to hire and how to evaluate what they're offering before you spend your hard earned cash.
Or you already hired someone and it was a huge mistake. Ouch! That happens more than I care to think about.
You don't have a lot of money to hire a web designer. There is absolutely no reason you can't do it yourself in a matter of days. The bulk of the cost is in time not money. Monthly maintenance charges will run under $30 to do it right, and most of that is your autoresponder/broadcast system. You can even skip that until you get your first 50 subscribers, and just run it out of your usual email program.
You have no idea how to make your site more effective. I'm going to teach you the basics, and it's all easy to implement.
You're willing to learn. Even if you're marketing phobic or technologically challenged, as long as you're willing to learn, you are ready.
You could be in any business, but more than likely you're in an artist, writer, healer or coach...or come combination thereof as is often the case.
My name is Susan Fuller.
My first business venture was going door to door selling brownies to the neighbors when I was 8. The problem was I didn't figure in my expenses and my parents lost money on the deal.
That was my first big lesson in business. There have been many others over the years...some from my successes and some not.
Truth be told, it's been the failures that have spurred me onward as I continue to unravel the mysteries of business and marketing, and it's the failures that have taught me the most.
Like you, I started out just wanting to do the work...whether it was as a photographer or as a psychotherapist or as a coach, business and marketing just weren't anything I was interested in.
The results...well let's just say they were less than stellar...until I started taking business seriously. That meant finding teachers and mentors who could teach me what I needed to know, and could show me how to implement what I learned.
I've learned my lessons well...as I write this I have just sold 21 books to a list of 157 people in 24 hours. Most internet marketers consider a conversion rate of 1% to be good...this was over 13%.
You can do it too, and I will teach you how. In 8 weeks, you will get a new website up and that website will be based on sound, easy to implement marketing principles.
The Myths of Marketing and Website Design
1. Building a website is expensive.
With blogging programs like Typepad and Wordpress, and the templates they provide, you can have a website up for the cost of hosting. Hosting can be as low as $5/month, but typically will be $10 - $12.
2. I need to hire a web designer to get a professional website up.
Not true. With all of the templates out there and inexpensive design software (I have a great one for free), you don't have to hire someone else to design your site unless you choose to.
3. Building a website is complicated.
The truth is that a simple one page site can do better for you than a site with lots of bells and whistles which often confuse and irritate your visitors.
4. I need lots of technical expertise.
That may have been true a few years ago, but it is not now. If you can use your email program and your browser, you have the technical capabilities to design a website. The only other thing you need to know is how to cut and paste.
5. Websites are time consuming.
They don't have to be. Once your site is up changes can be made quickly and easily. Honestly the most time consuming part of a website is writing copy, and even that doesn't have to take more than an hour or 2.
The bottom line is that it's not hard, it is not expensive, and it's not time consuming. All it really takes is a bit of time and some basic know how...and that is exactly what I am going to teach you.
So here's the deal...

One of my current clients said to be sure to tell you this is worth a whole lot more than that. To find this kind of training anywhere else would cost you at least $500 and probably more like $1000+.
So why am I doing it? You are bootstrapping your business, and you're probably going to stretch to pay this price. I assure you it is worth it. If you don't agree after the 8 weeks, I will happily return your money.
Are you ready?

(Prefer paying over time? Click here to pay in 2 monthly payments of $122.50)

P.S. Did I mention the guarantee? If you don't find this training worth every penny you paid, I will happily refund 100% of your fee. All I ask is your participation...attend each class and do the work in between.
